Conceptual luxury bags are only part of the HANSENGROSS philosophy. This newsletter, surfacing once every other month, talks about offers and events but also our Culture in general. #1 starts close to home by showcasing our Spring / Summer 2007 collection, a profile of our Italian connection at Milan’s Tearose, some excellent leather care advice, a memory of Sol LeWitt, and information on how to leave your climate footprint behind. Enjoy. Love, |

Featured Store “ Tearose, Milan ” HANSENGROSS retailers are selected for their strong sense of concept and style, they are destinations in themselves and ‘Tearose’ is no exception. Here every object is used to express the stylistic philosophy of this concept boutique. ![]() “The key is that luxury is really more abstract than material,” says Alessandra Rovati, whose stores carry brands such as Boudicca, Lanvin, Christian Louboutin, and of course, HANSENGROSS. “It’s the culture of the object, the research, and the personality.” The ‘Tearose World’ evolves around various elements of luxury goods: The flower shop in Rome, the Milan lifestyle experience, and the concept store in Monza all take on different expressions. The Tearose Café (www.tearosecafe.it) accommodates events spanning from photography to music, from sculpture to the presentation of books. Remember “ A Minimalist Master ” After the death of Sol LeWitt last month, we wanted to commemorate someone who has had great influence on the HANSENGROSS philosophy. We are inspired by his prolific two and three-dimensional work ranging from over 1200 Wall Drawings, to photographs, and hundreds of works on paper and extends to structures in the form of towers, pyramids, geometric forms, and progressions. Sol LeWitt’s frequent use of open, modular structures originate from the cube, a form that influenced the artist’s thinking from early in his career. Four-Sided Pyramid by Sol LeWitt.
